The MetaWorld

This is the world where there are “Players” who work in Otemachi, Tokyo. They work in an office and are participating in a Closed Beta Test of the first “Full-Immersion” Game called “Down the Rabbit Hole”

Interactions in this world are part of the meta game and can impact the characters in the Adventuring Worlds. An easy example of this is that when you work, you make money but a lot of work can take its toll on you. This is manifest in the Adventuring Worlds in that MetaWorld Players can spend the money they make from work on buying things for their characters but things like exhaustion will have an impact on their characters’ performance when they are “diving” into the immersive game.

In the MetaWorld, the Players might chat about the developments in the episodes they are participating in as well as speculating on what might happen in the future for their characters. They might also talk about some of the options their characters might have like whether to spend the money on better armor or which ability to train in. However, they won’t discuss things like planning their character story or background nor any kind of min-maxing because from their perspective, their characters their characters were creating during the first double login without them consciously creating or making decisions for their characters before that 2nd login (in the Prologue).
