Roll20 and Tokens
We’d like to do a little bit of testing on Roll20.net. It’s predominantly made for the Desktop Browser but they do have an app for Android and iPad Tablets.
In Roll20, there would be a lot more stuff for DM to have to manage but it would facilitate maps without having to print them out or draw them plus mechanics like handling initiative (turn order), dice rolls, etc.
See more for examples of Token that you would use on the Roll20 back to represent your character Continue reading “Roll20 and Tokens”

Prologue Part II – Welcome to the Adventure
The sun peaks over the horizon from the wilderness to the East. A sentry looks out from atop a 60ft stone wall as the sun begins to rise a little further. Below him is a small village with villagers just starting to run around preparing for the morning market. Little did they know that everything was about to change… Continue reading “Prologue Part II – Welcome to the Adventure”
Prologue Part I – the Meta World
The sun slowly starts over the palace to the West as the sky slowly fades into crimson but we’d never know it since we don’t have any windows. “How much paperwork do you have?” a voice calls out, “many another 5 minutes,” another voice responds.
*daaa dada da dadadada* As the clock hit 20:40, you hear the sound of loud music coming from outside. “What the hell is that?” Continue reading “Prologue Part I – the Meta World”
The Worlds of Adventure
Note: This is specifically not referring the “Real World” nor the “Meta World”. See the Worlds Page for more about those worlds.
Our World, simply the World
The world we find our characters is an extremely large and complex one. There are many different types of climates and terrain in the world just as there are many different types of humanoid species that inhabit them. Continue reading “The Worlds of Adventure”
Character Creation – Part I – Job Class
Creating and fleshing out your character is one of the biggest challenges of the traditional RPG genre. In Video Games, you can often just start playing but tRPG require more input. That being said, your character is expected to grow over time.
So where do you even start?
The first place, I’d start is with your “Job Class”. There many different names for this concept. This isn’t necessarily your character’s actual Job (but in some cases, it may be).
Welcome!
Welcome, as we journey Down the Rabbit Hole.
If you are here then you should already have some ideal of what this all entails but for many of you, this is a brand new experiences.
Down the Rabbit Hole is a modern look at Traditional Role-Playing Games. Traditional Table Top games are designed to be played around a table and to emphasise the more social nature of role-playing heritage. In many cases, the downside to a table top adventure is that they can get bogged down with calculations – an issue that video games don’t have with “real time” combat.
The goal with Down the Rabbit Hole is to be a social experience, adventure, and to increase our EPM (Enjoys Per Minute[tm]).
